But then there was this Pastor who heeded God's call to minister in the prisons. So he became a prison guard and started sharing the gospel there and to cut a long story short the worst of the worst we changed by God in such amazing ways. From there, the government told this Pastor to help run a prison and together with a co-worker they run a prison where there are not riots and people trying to escape. It was really amazing seeing the inmates worshipping God and praying so hard and fast twice a week and evening tithing the stuff they had to others who were in "greater need".
2 things that come to mind as I blog:
a) The video clip made me think of how blessed we are. Despite of the great freedom I have, unlike the prisoners, I don't offer God that same amount of honour, hours studying the word, praying and fasting. I want to change that.
b) I want to be like that Pastor and claim the victory for God and step out of my comfort zones to pray and reach out to people around me. I have slackened in reaching out to some people around whom I tried to previously because I felt that it seems like a hopeless situation. However, if God's grace can change the lives of murderers and rapist, the people whom I want to reach out to again wouldn't be a problem. I just need to rely more on God and not on my own strength.
I suddenly feel kinda hungry. Had a very late lunch and light dinner. After that went to run and exercise with Joyce, Janice, Justin and their father at the their place.
