The Irony

Very bored just now, so I went to Wikipedia and typed in "Assault Rifles" in the search box.

Looking at the category page filled with the different models of assault rifles, like the M16 Carbine, AK-47, FAMAS 5.56mm, Enfield L98A1 etc.

And, come to think about it... It is rather ironic.

Here countries are trying to sign treaties for peace, to lower nuclear arms etc. Yet, they are designing new weapons, such as the FN SCAR (Titanium plated urban assault rifle), to prepare for future warfare.

What's the deal? Such irony even exists...
